A nice sunny Sunday morning drive up to Brighton, CO to Church #20 - St Augustine. Interesting structure of concrete and wood panels. The sturdy upright pews forced us into good posture and it was a good thing the Homily was neither long nor too boring.
The Mass started as the Netherlands-Mexico game kicked off but the game didn't seem to have affected the fairly large congregation ... which was tops in terms of people genuflecting and making the sign of the cross.
The young celebrant was ordained a little over a week ago and was being reassigned to a parish in northern Wyoming ... so today was his last Mass with the Parish. One of the nicest thing about our Colorado Church Tour is that every Mass we attend is our last at that Parish!
