Church #1 - St Mary's Catholic Parish, 6853 S Prince Street, Littleton, CO 80120

11:30AM Sunday Mass

On a whim, we decided to start our tour of area Catholic Churches with St Mary's in Littleton.   The choice of St Mary's was due to the fact that Mass hadn't started yet when we made our decision to "church".

So, after 15 years of attending Sunday Mass at Pax Christi Chrurch (at least, somewhat "attending" for me), we went off to St Mary's, catching the 11:30AM Mass.    It was a neutral experience, certainly one that didn't discourage us from pursuing our little quest.

From St Mary's Littleton website (http://www.stmarylittleton.org/about/history) - Will you please hereafter take care of Littleton giving them Mass twice a month on Sundays?

With these words, on September 7, 1900, Bishop Matz assigned Fr. Richard Brady to the small Catholic community south of Loretto Heights College along the South Platte River.

The History page in St Mary's website is fairly extensive and interesting ... please visit the site with the above link.
